On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, a traffic accident happened on Regional Road No. 52, connecting Nefza to Béja. The incident involved a collision between a louage taxi and a private car.

According to reports, ten people were wounded in the crash, including three in critical condition. The remaining seven victims suffered minor injuries and panic attacks.

Civil Protection teams quickly arrived at the scene, providing first aid before transporting the injured to the Béja Regional Hospital for necessary medical care.

A Civil Protection source confirmed these details to Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine its cause.

According to an informed security source, the driver’s documents were seized, and the required legal proceedings were initiated against him, as part of the fight against traffic violations that pose a threat to the safety of road users. His behavior sparked strong dissatisfaction on social media, with citizens calling for stricter control of the public transportation sector to ensure compliance with traffic laws and protect the safety of passengers and bystanders.

 
Beja : Collision between a car and a rental taxi leaves 10 injured

A source from the regional directorate of civil protection in Beja informed the Tunisie Numérique correspondent that a road accident occurred on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the entrance to the city of Amdoun.

The accident involved a light vehicle and a rental taxi, leaving 10 people injured with injuries of varying severity.

Civil protection teams quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the local hospital in Amdoun for necessary treatment, according to the same source.

Kairouan : 16 injured in two-vehicle collision​

A traffic accident happened on Tuesday near Oues Thamda in the Oueslatia district of Kairouan Governorate.

The accident occurred when two vehicles collided, wounding 16 people, who were taken to the hospital by Civil Protection units in three ambulances.

According to ONSR data, from January 1 to March 27, 2025, 996 road accidents in Tunisia resulted in 225 deaths and 1,322 injuries.

 
3 brothers die following a collision with a train

A terrible accident occurred yesterday afternoon, Sunday, March 30, on the Kamel El Borjine railway line, causing the death of three brothers, according to a security source quoted by Mosaïque FM.

A train struck a vehicle; two passengers died at the scene, and the third succumbed to his injuries at the Msaken Regional Hospital, the same source said.

The remains have been handed over to the autopsy department, and investigations into this tragedy are ongoing.

Road Accidents : 256 Deaths and 1,384 Injuries in the First Quarter of 2025

From January 1 to March 31, 2025, the number of road accidents reached 1,069, approximately 400 fewer accidents than in the first quarter of 2024, representing a 27% decrease compared to the same period in 2024, according to updated statistics from the National Road Safety Observatory (ONSR).

The number of deaths caused by road accidents stands at 256, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024 (244 deaths).

Furthermore, these accidents resulted in 1,384 injuries, a number also down compared to the same period last year.
The ONSR indicates that 40.3% of these accidents are due to inattention and lack of vigilance on the part of drivers.

A road accident occurred this morning, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the region of El Mahadhba, part of the Sidi Bou Ali delegation in the governorate of Sousse. The tragedy resulted in two deaths on the spot and nine injuries.

According to Radio Nationale, the accident occurred due to a collision between a shared taxi and a minibus transporting workers. The accident resulted in 7 people sustaining various wounds of differing severity. They were provided with first aid and moved to Habib Bourguiba University Hospital. Both vehicles were removed from the public road, according to the spokesperson for Civil Protection.

After a video was posted on social media showing an individual throwing stones at a train near Manouba station, security units belonging to the Public Transport Protection Service managed to identify and arrest the perpetrator in record time. "He was intoxicated at the time of his arrest," reads a statement from the General Directorate of National Security.

The individual was taken to the Manouba National Security station, where he was taken into custody for "damage to public property and intoxicated state," after consultation with the representative of the public prosecutor's office. The investigation is continuing.

Tunisia : Student killed in van overturn in Kasserine​

A traffic accident involving the overturning of a light truck caused the death of a sixth-grade student this evening, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at El Kharroub Primary School, in the commune of Salloum, Hassi El Farid district, Kasserine governorate.

Several other students were wounded in the accident and were transferred to Badreddine Alaoui Regional Hospital in Kasserine for treatment.

According to preliminary data, two of them suffered injuries of varying severity, and three others suffered minor injuries, according to Mustapha Dhibi, a member of the Hassi al-Farid local council.
