How online “romance scams” work

So many talk about the Russian women and the military men who are catfishing their victims, but they don’t mention the North African men who use their own face. When a victim sees the man on Skype, they think “This man is real, his family is so nice”, etc. What they don’t see is the lies and that they are being scammed. The similarity with all the romance scams is that the scammer wants something from His victim. It can be money, or marriage and relocation to the victims country, or both.
